Timid forest wildlife is often glimpsed when hiking in and around the Hope area. Bear cubs have been seen right outside our front door!
Hell's Gate Airtram & Museum
Just a short drive up the Fraser Canyon from Hope, you'll discover why explorer, Simon Fraser, described this section of the river as the "Gates of Hell". Truly stunning views of Canada's most rugged scenery.
Gold-Panning Attraction
Strike gold by wading into one of the many gold-bearing creeks around Hope - the gateway to the 1860's BC Gold Rush.
BC's Official Bird - Stellar's Jay
The brightly-colored Stellar's Jay (sometimes called a Blue Jay) can be seen feeding on our patio. Be sure to bring your binoculars as the birdlife is plentiful!
